Any-one any thoughts/experience with bolt on long arm suspension?
I'm looking at:
Skyjacker (relatively simple/cheap)
Full Traction ($1000 dearer, but looks top quality)
-
no but i would like the op to have a good look at an instal

Go with the Rubi express. I have seen a few others, and none seem to match up with quality or ability.
-
strike skyjacker straight off your list!!!!
when i looked into it, all the yanks could say about it was ;
expensive,
the arms break very easily which also breaks the bank ballance,
and they'd only ever use it on a show pony!!!
go rubicon,
try looking into rock crawler too.
are you only interested in bolt on kits????
-
for bolt-on R.E is the best i have seen.

Needs to be bolt on, I'll take a look at RE.
Thank's

Full-Traction on my XJ is very solid, yet to be used in anger though. It's a true 4-link on the XJ kit, if it's the same on the TJ kit then it makes it very different to a radius arm setup like RE.

it doesn't look to bad but i wouldn't touch it simply because of the upper control arms being mounted in the original points.
you may as well just go with a 4 inch short arm lift.
-
I have Rubicon Express 4.0" Long Arm Suspension, cant fault it.

Would you care to elaborate on that paragraph of nonsense ?
-
the upper arms in the picture are connected to the long arms of the lower control arms.
enough arms in that ?
i would like to see how it connects to the std upper mounts

I've gone for a Teraflex 'haif' kit (lowers only, will add a triangulated upper set up to the rear & something on the front upper later on.
Just had my axles sorted by Mik, delighted with the result, 4.88 now fitted, 5th gear is useable again, huge improvement mid range.

i couldn't be arsed to watch it either.......well it didn't play on my machine
