Jeep runs fine, i have reset it and will see if comes back tomoz, any ideas

O2 sensor after the cat. Bad sensor or bad cat.
-
front lambda sensor mate,P0138 is 0bd II code for oxygen sensor bank 1 is front, bank 2 is rear sensor
-
maybe both are buggered then Tim!
-
Nah, Bank 1 and 2 are the two halves of a V8. On an I6 you only have Bank 1. Sensor 1 is the front one, sensor 2 is the rear one.
-
I bought a front one for my TJ recently from these people: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bosch-Rear-Lambda ... 7C294%3A30 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bosch-Rear-Lambda-Sensor-JEEP-Wrangler-4-0-01-97-12-98_W0QQitemZ180338051567QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item29fcfc49ef&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262&_trkparms=%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A30" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) Their delivery was a little slow 4-5 days IIRC. You can get unbranded universal ones which are a bit cheaper and some of them need the wires cutting and your old plug fixing to it, but I went with a Bosch branded one which was complete with the attached plug.

When I bought my TJ it had a loud rattle in the cat which was eventually replaced with a BM one: http://www.bmcatalysts.co.uk (http://www.bmcatalysts.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) The cheapest one I could find on ebay at the moment is this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CHRYSLER-WRANGLER ... 7C294%3A50 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CHRYSLER-WRANGLER-JEEP-4-0-1997-2001-CAT-CONVERTER_W0QQitemZ130310441941QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item1e571b8bd5&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) but I do recall seeing them even cheaper than this. Physically, the cat part seemed a lot smaller than the original one, but it’s worked fine.

You might find that your local Jeep Dealer is actually very reasonable for 02 sensors

You might find that your local Jeep Dealer is actually very reasonable for 02 sensors  In fact, I don't know where our nearest official Jeep dealer is these days.

Ryfield, Rednal still do parts and servicing, they just dont sell em :-)

Pete, Clarks in Kiddy is where the tech folks from City & County went. Get regular letters from them saying they still service & sell Jeep parts etc, HTH :-?
-
We don't have one in Birmingham any more! :-?
I was told by Mansfield 4x4 that if you need to buy a new Jeep you'll have to contact Jeep at Tongwell (HQ) thats if you live between Norf Lundun and "Wy eye mon" "Tup Norf".
My stealership only does spares and service now, mind you they also Deal with most of all the other European car makers, multi-stealers eh
-
You have to question the sense in building right hand drive Jeeps thesedays. They're not cool to own in
blighty after demonisation by the media and govt. Chrysler has no money, and neither does Fiat. They need
to direct their efforts to markets where they actually stand a chance of selling some vehicles.
-
My local Dealer isn't doing too badly, at least that's what he tells me. Granted it's the Patriot (with VW diesel engine) and Grand Cherokee (with Mercedes diesel engine) that are still selling ok. The Chrysler cars are crap and they know it but they still sell the odd voyager. He could be telling me complete BS but he has no real reason to, I'm not going to be buying a showroom car anytime soon I just use them for parts when the price is right.
-
No wonder Fiat wanted to buy up Chrysler, it wouldn't be a Yank Steed, it would be nearly all "Eyetallion", especialy as the engine is "Eyetallion" too.

Notice it doesn't say who the parent Comp is
