Title: XJ brake sensor rings
Post by: The Midnight Ploughboy on June 16, 2009, 10:07:17 AM
Anyone know where I can get a new or remanufactured sensor ring for a facelift XJ 4 ltr? I'd prefer not to have to buy the whole stub axle.

Cheers,
TMP

if you mean front then no, its 1 piece, I have had to ditch a front outer shaft after cracking the ring fitting a new uj. The rear rings are pressed onto the driveshaft, a few places sell em.

Thanks scrw.

Yeah, it's the front and I did the same as you, cracked ring fitting new UJ. I was thinking of doing the other side *before* it fails and wanted to have the comfort of a new ring to hand before I start on the job.

That's a booger. :012:

If it's cracked, why not get it welded?  Any engineering place worth it's salt can do cast.  You can do cast at home if you can get it hot enough to start with.
