Title: Mild Lifting on Grand Cherokee WJ 4.7V8
Post by: akabigm on June 22, 2009, 09:20:14 AM
I would appreciate any advice, experience of getting a smallish increase in clearance ie without major suspension rebuild, don't want to change wheels or tyres just a little more room. Have seen Old Man Emu shocks and springs.............at c.£300 plus fitting, any views or ideas welcomed

OME very good and can be had with very small lift of 1" if wanted.....
JP mag did one of their GCs a few months back, also added Edelbrock shockers and that helped no end.....

With those skid plates you don't need a lift ;)  just more loud pedal  :icon_super:

Get a 2" lift   quite straightforward.

As been mentioned else where, with a lift and the same tyres, the low point (diff) is still going to be the same height. If you lift, fit larger tyres as well.
