had to disconect battery to clear a fault code
have the code but cant remember how to input it
this is the radio
[attachment=1]
had the same radio in liberty but cant remember what to enter after the code
-
Punch in the code then press 5 to accept
-
If your code was 8765, then press button '1' 8 times to the first character is 8, then press '2' 7 times etc until the screen says your number, then press '5'.
-
still no joy, dont think you enter it as tim said
just straight entry but i seem to remember you had to press something after, prioity or set or ????
has anyone got the audio manual for this radio. I know it was fitted in the Liberty too :greggmo:
-
put the code in carefully then swear at it ..LOTS
-
good god, brace yourself...
'To enter the code, turn key to ON or ACC position and press the ON/VOL control.
The word CODE will appear on the display. Enter your four digit code by pressing the appropriate preset
buttons in sequence.(1'2'3'4'5) Your radio is now ready for basic operations.'
scalpel hehe
However... if invalid code is entered into radio it will give 2 more attempts. The 3rd fluffed entry will set the lockup mode.
In this mode it must be in a state where battery is applied for 30mins, (leave running?)
During this time, if the radio is on, it will say WAIT. After 30mins it will say CODE...
note; key must be at ON or ACC.
I copied it so it can't be wrong
good luck
:)

-
MOCAJ..if the MOMOS advice don't work then possibly other options the lass ssenses..
-
i think u might need to just take it to a decoder place, sorry Mocaj
it was only a tenner last time
faff tho :icon_sad:
-
Phone a Jeep dealer and give them the serial number off the set and they will get the code from the manufacturer.
-
Ask about the cost if you do ring the main dealer though..
-
also be aware that if the radio has had its code read before, some radios decoded with some equipment will write a different code so the dealer suplied code may not work. could also explain why the code you have don't work
