Perhaps one of the Jeep experts can help solve my problem... I have a 1997 2.5 diesal cherokee td ltd... A few days ago the Jeep was left with a flat battery after the water pump fell to bits , lost all the water , and threw off the serpentine belt...Now , with a new pump , and the battery recharged and installed i find the internal lights are on all the time , and won,t switch off...!
Is there a cure for this , other than taking the bulbs out of the lights....?

OOOPSS...after posting this i found the thread refering to this problem....and sure enough like some other new Jeep owners i discovered i had turned the headlight switch whilst playing with the instrument light dimmer and unwittingly put the internal lights on......What a wonderfull place this forum is...i was just about to start pulling bulbs out....!

Another cause of this problem can be the switch on the clutch pedal than controls the immobilizer system
