Grand Cherokee 1996, have aquired a high level stop lamp from a later 97 GC, all wires are there but not working, are there any more connections I need to make to get it to work ?. :100:

it is the most obvious of things but change the bulb. you never know.

What he said. Get a meter and a slave to press the brake pedal, make sure you get 12v
when it's pressed.

Ok all done, :icon_super: for anybody that wants to upgrade the dummy unit fitted for a high level stop lamp you will need the lamp unit from a later GC (97 on) you will also need to get the "lamp outage unit" thats located behind the panel below the spare wheel, if you look at the unit there are two plugs one of the plugs has a green wire with a white tracer that goes to a centre pin, if you look on the original lamp outage unit you will see that there is no connector in the socket for this wire, on the later one this has a connector for the high level lamp
