Hello All,
I have recently purchased an absolutly mint '02 Grand Cherokee limited, 4 litre, auto box. I tried setting the memory position for the seat and was greeted with the message "Memory seats disabled" on the overhead console. Has anyone else run into this problem? If so how do i go about fixing it? It isn't really a problem but since I am 6' 2" tall and my wife is 5' 4" tall the memory seats that we were use to in the old ZJ would be nice. lol.
Thanks in advance,
Brad

Neutral Safety Switch.

Neutral Safety Switch.
I'm totally confused by this....

The memory seats have a link to the NSS. Faulty NSS will give that message. The memory seat should only work in
park and neutral. Also, that error can pop out of you have the seatbelt fastened and try to use the memory (not allowed).
So it could also be the switch in the seatbelt fastener.
Just stating it as a possibility.

You got it in one... rear middle seat belt was fastened. I unclipped that and memory seats work as advertised. Thanks everyone!

You learn something everyday...

Must have been something else. Drivers seat belt is the only one with a switch.
