Hi Guys
Im trying to remove the radiator from my YJ
Looking from the front of the jeep how do you get to the bolt near the bottom holding the rad to the chassis, its driving me mad, you would have throught they would have left a hole on the back plate so you could poke a socket set through but no, they didnt.
Its a job making me crazy i tell you.....................
Any help or thoughts could help me regain sanity

are you takin the rad out or the hole grill? there should be only 4 bolts holding the rad in on a yj.

Hiya
Yes im trying to replace the rad with a new one, there are two bolts on the top brackets and then four bolts (2 either side) on the rad itself that attached it to some metal straps that run behind the grill. On the right side of the radiator

thanks mate thats really helpful lol

I use a 1/4" drive ratchet with a stubby socket. And a spanner will get in there.
But if you are removing it to fit a new radiator, why not just bend/cut/butcher the offending metalwork to get to the bolt?
