Title: airbag light

Hi guys , not been on for a while - computer knackered till now . Wierd thing on my 96 xj facelift 4l - occasionally the airbag warning light comes on and I lose the speedo & rev counter , this happens only occasionally and then only for a few seconds before the warning light goes out and all is normal again . any ideas ????

electrical connection springs to mind / bad earth somewhere. If it's on the airbag circuit i would have thought that light would have stayed on ???

Remove the instrument cluster and treat the multi plugs on the back with proper electrical contact cleaner.
