Can someone back me up that the size measurement is based on inner lip to inner lip of the shackle?

dont make any difference the centre is the same for both

are you talking about leaf spring shackles or towing shackles, cos i assumed leaf spring

Just acquired 4 U shackles 2.5" centre to centre where the bolt goes in...reckon they are 4.5 t but they came in from Japan so not UK weight rated....
