Title: Hub Adapters
Post by: Big Andy on December 28, 2009, 08:57:08 PM
Hi, im after a bit of advice.

I need a set of mud tyres for the xj, I have a spare set of wheels and I was ready to buy some tyres untill I came across these on Ebay:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280433347765 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280433347765)

Ive got 4 sets of tyres for my discovery, Ive got some decent road tyres, AT tyres, Colway MT's, and a set of Insa Turbo Special Trac's for the seriously sticky stuff, all on 16" Land Rover rims.  It would be a lot easier for me if I could fit these wheels to my XJ, and it would save me cluttering up my garden with more wheels.

So, what do you reckon? has anybody used these adapters?

cant see any issue with them (other than the obvious street creed issue :011: ) the design looks the same as the normal spacers many of us use, only with the studs on a different PCD

Thanks Nosebolt, Provided nobody has any horror stories about adapters breaking and wheels falling off I reckcon these may well be a sound investment.

Have used them a few times on vw's and know lots of people that use them with no problems, as long as they are good quality I don't think you would have any probs

like a few people who have used this seller, he doesn't sell cheap made stuff. He carries a small amount in stock but some are made to order

the width with the spacers on will cause you problems unless you are well lifted and or chop your arches or buy some wheels with the right back spacing. the spacers do look a good bit of kit though mate.

I got some adaptors from the states to fit Suzuki fitment (also Jeep CJ) wheels to mine - same as spacers - look on ebay.com
