Post by: scrw on December 30, 2009, 03:54:21 PM
...can a kind WJ owner with stock suspension measure the distance from wheel centre to arch (front & rear) for me. Need to know how soggy my springs are before I spend more money.

cheers

Hey, not sure if you still need this, but just went and measured the distance (ive taken pics too, to make sure i measured the right thing for you, but have no idea how to upload them!).  My WJ is a 2003:

Front, from middle of wheel to bottom of wheel arch is 47.5cm (http://)
Back, from middle of wheel to bottom of wheel arch is 49.5cm(http://)

That is all assuming my suspension hasnt dropped too, and bear in mind my tyres are 255/65/17, so slightly taller than standard 235/65/17  :icon_winkle:

Hope that helps

cheers for that, tyre size makes no difference on this measurement, hence asking for it, will go and check mine now & see how 165k miles have affected the springs  :icon_winkle:
