Evening all,
I've just posted a question in my intro but as I posted it I thought it was rude not to ask for help here - so if anyone has read both, my apologies for the duplication!!
I've been told I need a window mechanism or regulator for the front passenger window in my Jeep - it whirrs like there is a motor present but no movement from the window... Is there a good place to get these parts from without going to Jeep directly or must I bite the bullet and pay full whack?! Either way, what can I expect to pay please?
I'd be really grateful for some guidance. I'm a new Jeep owner and I've fallen in love with the old girl - I just want her tip top!
Thanks in advance,
Middsy.

Had this on our XJ a couple of years ago, bith the drivers side front & rear. Its usually the cable that breaks. The mechanism comes as a job lot & from memory it was about £160 from the dealers plus fitting. Got mine fitted locally, dont take that long, apparently :icon_winkle:

think they may be different from MK1 and MK2's but not sure we need Mike P's advice first....

MK1 & mk2 ARE different

Thanks guys,
Shall I just bite the bullet and take the hit then? I've seen the parts on ebay for about £60.00 but I would definitely order the wrong part...

the 1998 should have one piece windows (MK2 or facelift) the mk1 or prefacelift has 1/4 light windows and a smaller main door window hence the parts are not the same
