My reversing lights have expired! If I wiggle the gear selector a bit they flicker on and off, so I think it's the switch thingy that won't let you start the engine in gear. I've seen this mentioned a few times around the forum, but no specific instructions for cleaning it. Where do I find it?
I've heard somewhere that new switches can vary from £10 to £200 from a Jeep main stealer, surely that can't be right?

Its the neutral position switch on the right hand side of the gearbox opposite where the shift cable attaches.

Take it off, take it apart, clean and grease it and it'll be spot-on. Half a days work and nothing too tricky.

you could use the "Bristol method", basicly remove your rear view mirror, all rear lights and wing mirrors,
because once you have passed it, it dont matter :hysterical:
