Title: oops, i broke it...
Post by: kwfulton427 on September 28, 2005, 03:25:06 PM
few weeks ago i was out froadin a bit, flexed, and ripped my sway bar out of its socket... scrathed my head and thought, 'that's not right...'

I pulled it out of the way so it wouldn't rub, but it rode funny(because it would lean one way more in turns, and sit crooked) so I took them completely off until I can fix it right...

then today, i managed to smash my fog light to bits while backing of a hill...(had nothing to do with the sway bars, just in here because i broke it)

I guess the point in all of this is that I need new sway bars, preferably quick diconnects...  does anybody currently use these, and if so, would you recommend a certain brand?

Have a word with Owen.  I think the ones off his ZJ will fit, but I'm not 100% sure. :?

I have Terra Disconnects, they remove both ends so theres no finding where to put the other end once you've disconnected. I know KD had rubbing probs with his JKSs at Cheapfest. I cable tie the AR bar up out the way as well to keep it right out of harms way.

bit like these

but different.... can't find anything on the web about them, SOR called them "Terra Disconnects" on the invoice.... :)

I think they're the terraflex ones.  Have a look on 4WDs site.
