Hi All
Got a standard set of 15" alloys on my pre facelift 1996 cherry at present. I am thinking of fitting a set of Grand Cherry alloys to her. I know these are a straight swap. But as the grand alloys are 16" just wondered what tyre sizes I need to be looking to fit to keep the speedo working correctly. I dont really want to start changing pinion sizes on the speedo. I'll be looking at some AT tyres, possibly Faulkens or the like. Looking for the simplest option ....
Cheers all

I find this a very useful tool for working out difference in tyre sizes

Some Grand Cherokees use a different PCD, think around 121mm, where as Cherokee/Wranglers all run 115mm, hope this helps, Maf

Mine came with 16 GC Wheels on, the tyre size was 255/65/16. Im selling the road tyres on Ebay right now, i put a set of AT2's on. Fit great, look great and run great !(http://[attachment=1][attachment=2])

You'll be wanting mk1 Grand alloys (ZG/J) WJ and later won't fit

Matty, I have a set of 5 original fit 16" Icon rims that were on my 2000 yr XJ when I got it, they are shod with BFG mud terrain tyres with 11mm tread remaining. Tyre size is 245/75/16 (30.7" diameter) and I also have a matching 6th rim I bought from ebay as a spare as I heard a lot of horror stories about f'roadin with alloy wheels that never materialised.
Speedo will probably be better with the bigger tyres as, in my case it was hopelessly optimistic with the standard tyres size and almost right with the 30.7's
If you are interested in buying this ready bolt-on set then PM me but they have been off-roaded so the rims are not perfect (but perfect to improve the look of your jeep at 10 paces and for use off-road)
