Nice n easy one: are they worth the extra bunce?
-
are they poly or rubber ?
-
"Black polyurethane bushings insulate steel-to-steel contact"
-
they may as well be welded
-
poly bushes give more engine vibes :icon_winkle:

got 1" lifted engine mounts on all of my TJ's, poly gives vibes, rubber is better i reckon
-
Cheers, appreciated
seems a shame tho that summink called 'bombproof' is shite :003:
-
Got lifted by 1" MORE ones on the YJ can't say I notice a vibration prob but then I spent ages on the driveline angles and stuff, also the prop supplier and things makes a difference...... I will say that at a speed when you know you should change down in a few secs there is a thrummmmm that you wish wasn't there......that is until you've changed down and it goes away.
Personally I think a deeper ratio in the axles and that 383 with 400 bhp and there would be no problem....... :icon_super:

you not buying the whole kit are you? you probably have 3/4 of the metal allready
-
full set goin cheap on US ebay so was considerin a punt, dont need them as such, just that the ones i got look fucked
-
poly bushes will out last the std rubber by a long way and they don't deteriorate. Thes td rubbder bushes have been developed by the maker for one reason.....to cut out any engine vibration driven by the engine. The development of these rubber bushes can take months before the ideal design is found. personally i would go for rubber mounts on the engine over poly ones
-
the polys do last longer but last time i looked they were allmost 3 times the price of the rubber units and as they so easy to change on the CJ I would rather just change the rubber ones more often.
-
Having been there and got 'em I would not go that route again..... unless your going to seriously beat on your rig with monster horse-power and then roll it and your worried about the motor breaking loose while inverted.... Just replace the rubber ones regularly
I agree with NB
-
my one v8 used tare the one side of on a very regular basis i had rubber on one side and polly on the other to much boot
-
which side tore?
-
the power side
-
rubber or poly u old donut :003:
