Title: WJ brakes
Post by: prozac on March 06, 2010, 09:09:00 AM
The WJ failed the MOT due to a leaky halfshaft seal.... has deposited oil on the handbrake shoes ...
so I need a seal, shoes and may as well have brake pads as well...

Looking at ebay ....
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/REAR-BRAKE-PADS-FOR-JEEP-GRAND-CHEROKEE-1999-2004_W0QQitemZ330336730040QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item4ce99a7bb8 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/REAR-BRAKE-PADS-FOR-JEEP-GRAND-CHEROKEE-1999-2004_W0QQitemZ330336730040QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item4ce99a7bb8)
seems  to be the right thing ... the 2 on the left seem to have the springy clips on the back....
Any good or best avoided??
They have a link to a catalogue ....

http://www.catalog.jeepchryslerparts.co.uk/jeep/brake/brake_WJ.htm (http://www.catalog.jeepchryslerparts.co.uk/jeep/brake/brake_WJ.htm)
I'm hoping these parts are correct.
Just need to ID the halfshaft seal..... :icon_redface:
