how mad is this had a dana 30 in bits to day and mad as it sounds there were no pinion shims in it at all that vsaid i have seen it before once but how come whats the odds of that i mean if you asemblin then in the factory i wonder how often that happens
-
don't suprise me, if you think about it the diff is designed to be a certain size and shims are use to correct allowed production tolerance, so odds are that every now and then they get one right and don't need shims
-
maybe but i would have expected the pumpkin to be slightly oversize in relation to pinio depth to allow for decreasing the pinion depth
maybe they do it to a sweet spot
-
Stop scaring me you :violence: :003:
-
not to worry gaz after sledge hammering the bearing in i found i needed to sledge them backout and build it all up with some weld then sledged it all back together its sorta sweet now
-
