Title: 02 sensor

Are the 02 sensors front and cat the same?.... and can i use universal ones? :icon_eek:

Bought one  this morning fitted it to the front  pipe had a run round seems to have cured my problem! and the idle is a lot better , i fitted a universal zirconia four wire,   code reader indicated 02 sensor.  so fingers crossed........cya

update! don't bother with the universal o2 sensor!! failed on monday  engine started running super rich black exhaust smoke, running lumpy, etc, orderd original fitted it yesterday, now running fine again hope this has fixed it. :icon_eek:

I went for a genuine Jeep sensor.. The first one lasted for 160,000 miles, so this one will probably outlast my XJ!
