just wondering the best options 106000 miles there are chunks missing so i suspect they have been trown over the crown wheel in to the oil chamber for the bearings in the nose of the diff

They always do that. If the gears aren't marked, Shove a fresh set of bearings and a clutch kit in, it'll be fine.

i think thats the route of preferance for its owner
any idea on clutc pak prices i heard they were not cheap

Well at least in starting the craze for buggering up diff bearings via the gift of knackering the clutch packs, it has afforded MJS (Morris Jeep Specialists) a new business opportunity & at the same time given an opportunity to all Jeepers to get their diffs (& other mechanical woes) sorted at the lowest price, bar for the lucky few who can do this themselves... myself not included  :003: :003:

Thanks for you replies guys & for Bubba posting the pic (saved me the 60mile drive)!
Ordered new bearings, seal & clutch pack from Lighty's; they did warn me that the diff may have been bent! But worth a go. Price wasnt tooo bad; bout the same if £'s as Quadratec sell in $'s.
If it gets rid of the nasty grumbling noise that the rearend was making I'll be happy!
