The arm from the clutch master cylinder on my TJ decided to remove itself yesturday from the master cylinder to just dangle from the pedal. and a swinging clutch pedal is no fun trust me!
I was wondering if anybody knew if the arm from the clutch master cylinder is supposed to be locked into it somehow or if it is removeble? Been looking at the one on my other TJ and that does not come out and cant see anything obvious like a push in point etc. I am guessing there is supposed to be some kind of retaining pin to keep it in, but this is a guess. and will lead to me either buying a new Clutch master cylinder or complete system?
Any help appreciated
Thanks

Sounds broken to me, The rod usually comes attached to the master cylinder. You can only remove it and see what's happened.

Yeah kinda what I was thinking, thanks Mike. :greggmo:

remove the rod = strip down of m/cylinder

Cheers Dave, the bad news is I gotta get a new one, no easy fix!

i think i have one in my spares mate, let me have a look in the garage tomoz :greggmo:

Thanks for that mate, but I have had a good look at the slave and it could do with replacing in reality also so going to get a complete unit, as this is for my daily driver I figure the extra expense adds peace of mind for some of the longer trip I have to do.
cheers
