On 97 TJ
Swopped my steering box at the weekend but my steering wheel is no longer centered
didnt move the wheel when swapping so is it best to
a) disconect steering colum, straighten wheel and re-assemble or
b) adjust it on the drag link
steering wheel is nearly 1/2 turn out so is that too much for the drag link ??
-
I'd adjust at the steering column

move yourself and the Jeep to Australia you will be upside down and then it will be correct :017:

dave the sparky ..what the hell are you on about? get back in your garrage with will.. or go back to that other forum you like..what is it "menintights.co.isleofman"
-
:hysterical: you are a bad puppy
-
Disconect steering shaft then, Rotate wheels and steering wheel to straight and re-assemble
If I cant get it exact cos of the splines and flat, fine tweak on the drag link
Does that sound right ??
Pissed off as the steering wheel must have moved without me realising :icon_twisted:
-
yup.
-
or take steering wheel off and straighten it that way
-
I think it has a master spline so you can't.
-
i thought that but was not sure
