In my opinion they were a much underated band...   I saw them in concert in Cleeththorpes in 1962 , singing their only hit , ( i wish i could shimmy like my sister aurthur )  I am sure they would have gone on to great things if it had not been for that tragic accident during a drug crazed sex romp with a washing machine....

They are excellent, I have two sets, one for XJ one for YJ, good value, quite on road, perform well off road, have got up tough lanes, through boggy stuff. Good range of sizes, www.maxxis.com/co.uk (http://www.maxxis.com/co.uk) has specifications

Many in our club have them, everyone rates them highly, BFG's are prob a better tyre, but they cost a lot more and for us if we rip a sidewall out we'd rather pay £70/80 a tyre than £120+....

Can't say on long term... but no tread ware after a few 1000 miles..... cheers Maf

Have seen them lose grip on very slight sideways slopes, quite a few times, tried different pressures, no difference.

Run Maxxis at 15 for lanes, have gone as low as 7 for even more control whilst on a training course...

Maxxis also have lots of other options, tredapor is the next one up, most of us stay with Buckshots as better on road and mainly used on laning trucks (although one of our guys came first in the winched class on Buckshots recently).
