Title: ignition barrel/key

does anyone know if the ignition key for a mk1 cherokee has a unique profile number for the barrel so a replacement can be obained without copying the origional.

i don't have the origional key and the one i have has been copied from a snapped one so can be a problem with working, i had a spare cut but the profile is slightly worse and wont work in the ignition.

One must go to the Main Dealer one must pass "GO" and take it up the JACKSEY for good measure.

might just be a case of visiting a stealership for a taste of we can't be arsed as the jeeps too old attitude

Just give the dealership the VIN. About 15 quid IIRC.

looks like a vin number to the dealer me thinks
