Ta Tim, obviously the same designer as did the CPS location on an XJ :banghead:
-
All falls into the Chrysler business model...... Sell them dirt cheap (they are here anyway),
but when they go wrong, make them very difficult to fix, thus making your money back
in labour costs.
-
Hmmm, first relay I have removed with the help of an angle grinder :icon_eek:

Took relay off, bangged against the wall, refitted, working okay :lol_hitting:
Best order a new one though methinks :003:

what an arse
-
Steves not an arse....buffoon possibly...oh the delights of GC front end design..
-
vehicle designers only design for their alotted area. their designs are the transfered to a digital image of the new vehicle and if it fits in the relevant location then it's ok. they don't consider servicing issues that is where the dev technicians realise what has to be done to service and develop parts. this then results in the designer changing the layout or not as in most cases.
ally jag xj350 has a part that costs around £5 which involves an engine removal to get to it which costs much moolar just because someone didn't think
-
yeah that is true dave i used to work in the ldv development workshop and that is indeed the case
-
with LDV you knew when it was updated because everything was metric and the rest is still imperial
-
yeah i helped with the ford engine conversion development
