Probably a very simple question but I need to replace the battery on my XJ and would rather be able to walk into Halfrauds and pick one up rather than ask one of the numpties which one.
I don't use the XJ much during the week and my work is only a couple of miles away so its not getting a proper charge in between uses. I also think its probably the original battery so probably quite tired.

if you go here (http://www.interstatebatteries.com/cs_eStore/Results.aspx/Cars%20and%20Trucks?dsNavigation=N~21) and select you vehicle then click on one of the suggested batteries it will give you a full spec, height/length/CCA etc. you can the walk in with a tape measure and spec and pick the battery you want

Celine Dion or Allison Moyet? :hysterical:

Check a Jeep dealer. Their batteries can be surprisingly reasonable, and they fit.

Try dealers 1st

Well closest dealer is Cardiff which is 2 hours away - they have one at £92 but going to take an afternoon just to get it. Tried Halfrauds and the battery they gave me didn't fit - its the bolts for the cross brace that are too short and the OE battery has a recess where the brace goes. Anyway £95 in Halfords but that has been refunded.
I've settled on a local battery supplier who sold me a high amperage battery than the Halfords item for £58. Considering the cost of fuel etc to go get the one in Cardiff the local battery at half the price will just have to be made to fit.
