Hoik the front end into the air
let it cool down if you feel like it
without starting crank the steering to full lock
rotate road wheels listening and feeling for ummmm .... buggeredness!

Or, (dry day suggested)

With trusted assistant in drivers seat
bus in neutral - handbrake on etc.
get under the front end
select any likely looking item that wont bite and grab hold
have assistant wind steering from lock to opposite lock a few times
look listen feel to try and find source of racket
if things look close - use a long screwdriver instead of a finger - it dont hurt so much if you misjudge things!

Last thought for the day:
Was your jeep subject to the brake disc recall & if so was it done?
if you're not sure, check the front disks are still in one piece and that the disk is not getting ready to fall off the hub! (failure occurs around circumfrential weld line).

I must admit to being a little baffled as to why Stew sees the leaky rad as the end of the world.
Forget talk of selling it or scrapping it and get a new rad! Your local backstreet garage will happily
do it for you.

Well, we've come a long way since our first recap of this thread, so here's another to get everyone up
to speed.

Problem: I have a clunk coming from the steering on my Grand Cherokee.

Solution 1: Wear a studded PVC thong.

Solution 2: Replace the radiator.

Solution 3: Masturbate in a Welsh church.

With such fine advice, how can you possibly go wrong!  :hysterical:
