front nearside drive shaft seal on an XJ.

easy to replace or is it a right pain in the arse.

i had assumed those bits needed to be removed ut do you need special tools for the seal replacement or can it be done basic style

Well, at least it's better advice than telling you to wear a studded pvc thong. (Or maybe it isn't?)

Well, I wouldn't say "asier" as such, but the studs making sitting down bloody painful, so you kind of keep on with the job rather than sitting down for a cuppa and a think!
