Hi Guys,
Preparing for 'the big convoy' tomorro. WJ + KJ + 2 Trailers + 3 sailing dinghies + tons of gear.
Doin the Royal Fowey Regatta all next week with my boys.
Got new trailer board. Plug in to WJ -> all singing and dancing.
Plug in to KJ -> NOWT.
I think there is no 'juice' going to, or coming out of the socket.
Checked fuse box next to drivers door and in engine bay. All seems to check out ok.
Any tips where to look next ?
Thx.

if it was pro fitted chances are there will also be an inline fuse somewhere between the power take off and the plug

genuine/mopar fitted tow bar has a relay/multiplug conector fitted behind offside rear boot trim/under the CD multichanger if fitted, and is wired into rear lights via a bridge out of the multiplug..

Yep it is a genuine factory fitted Mopar thinghy.
Do I have to get into this boot trim and check something ? :017:
Btw offside is that driver side or passenger side :icon_redface: :icon_redface:

In terms you will understand :icon_biggrin:
In the UK:
Offside = Starboard
Nearside = Port
:icon_biggrin:
Nearside always refers to the side of the vehicle near the kerb, and offside, is the otherside.

yes its behind the boot trim, can be found by following the harness back, from the rear light

Ok thanks Ivan for the nautical explanation :icon_twisted: :hysterical:
Eeehm....just had a look again....if there was an access hatch or something ok, but the boot trim is one piece from floor to celing and
from back door to the boot lid. Have to dismantle half the bloody rear end to get at the cables :banghead:
Have got one working trailer board so me thinks the missus can drive WJ with working X-mas tree following close behind me in the KJ.
...don't have to go that far.
-
yeah its a bit of a job, you need the rear lower and upper trims off first, and possibley the rear upper seatbelt anchor point loosened off.... and the retaining clips are a bit stiff too.....

Fowey regatta....getting as far as Golant Dutch?
