as anyone fitted or heared of anyone fitting a daihatsu 2.8 motor in a xj,i have a 2.5 petrol on gas and its really flat!!!

no point swapping the diesel into a petrol as there is too much to swap over. get a 4ltr as most have said.

if you want to look at general engine swaps search for pirate4x4 or naxja
