Title: do I or don't I
Post by: Panic mechanic! on September 24, 2010, 08:11:43 PM: been offered some defender mirrors to put on the tj as a temporary fixing til I can up my credit score and get a loan to buy them new or from a jeep breakers! :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: they are free, should I take up the offer or wait? :017: :017:

She was fugly anyway...................and I have Defender door mirrors on my YJ. So there.

I'll give them a ring tomorrow and find out exactly what they are, if they are the later door mounted type they would be worth a punt.

Basically, they're the only bit worth robbing from a Lardy!
They can certainly take a beating, I've had mine squashed against trees more than once and they haven't cracked or broken. They're also a decent size, have lots of adjustment and can be folded flat.
The bolt on from the inside with 2 10mm bolts, I just drilled through the top hinge and bolted them through the pinch seam at the front of the door. Easy!
