been offered some defender mirrors to put on the tj as a temporary fixing til I can up my credit score and get a loan to buy them new or from a jeep breakers! :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: they are free, should I take up the offer or wait? :017: :017:

i am sure you will do your own thing no matter what anyone says and after you have checked all the relevant regulations in the vosa manual

tj/yj mirrors.....bubba tip these are super mirrors to fit to any cj with hard doors far far better than cj mirrors

I'll give them a ring tomorrow and find out exactly what they are, if they are the later door mounted type they would be worth a punt.

Basically, they're the only bit worth robbing from a Lardy!
They can certainly take a beating, I've had mine squashed against trees more than once and they haven't cracked or broken. They're also a decent size, have lots of adjustment and can be folded flat.
The bolt on from the inside with 2 10mm bolts, I just drilled through the top hinge and bolted them through the pinch seam at the front of the door. Easy!

managed to find some second hand ones from ebay and only just down the road so can fetch them this weekend!
