Title: 2000 4.7 WG Plastic Sill Covers

Hello

I'm in the process of Waxoyling this Grand, so thought I'd remove the plastic sill covers (held on with about 6 clips and a couple of screws).

Underneath was damp and packed with mud - no rust, but looks like a rust-trap in the making.

Can anyone see any merit in putting these back on?

I'm tempted just to discard them, as it looks fine without them.
