Hi Iv got a Cherokee sport turbo CRD on a 2002 plate the jeep garage says the cam belt needs changing every 60,000 miles but its done 73,000 miles and i dont think its been changed, does anyone have any probs with this if its not been changed?
-
Get it done, there'll be total mechanical carnage if it fails.
-
I was told mine didn't need changing until 100k miles (2005 2.8crd KJ).
-
My '04 2.5 CRD was due at 60K but hey may have changed the schedule for later models.
-
If I don't know when a cam belt has been changed I usually get it changed soon after buying a vehicle just for peace of mind.
-
Eeeuuuummm....ask Rob.79 what he thinks about cam belts for the KJ CRD.. :icon_rolleyes:
Took me a while but found it.
