Any ideas how much higher the diesl springs are than the petrol? And are they a hight weight spring?

Think they are the same.
You have 5 or 6 cylinder diesels made with cast iron
or 6 or 8 cylinder petrols also made from cast iron with possably alloy heads for the V8's
If you still have the owners hand book it might say in the specs about kerb weights

OME list different parts for diesel & petrol WJ's, no petrol springs in the UK until DEcember, need some next week :banghead:

UK spec diesels were fitted with the 'Up Country ' package. They sit about an inch higher.

WJ(G) diesels only had 5 cylinder engines. all diesels had aloominum heads. V8s had aloominum heads.

I have a pair of front springs here, used of course & like most jeep springs, there fucked :icon_rolleyes:
