the floater regd feb 93 has the central locking set so that the doors lock when the engine starts and opens the doors when you turn it off can i change this setting the fob is black and has 2 buttons and on the dash has a separate button for setting the alarm for valet parking and has green led on one side and a red led on the other side any ideas
-
It's not a factory feature. Sounds like the UK dealer retro fit alarm. don't think you can stop it.
-
thats cool the valet button thing on the dash does have the Chrysler logo on it but if thats how it has to stay cool its just very easy to lock yourself out with the engine running :icon_redface: :icon_redface: :icon_redface: :icon_redface: :icon_redface:

very easy, and good comedy value :003:

i know that's a feature on a Clifford alarms, if you have a Clifford i have the service software and interface cable to reprogram it and turn of the feature
-
i picked the tail gate lock this time but it may have been a fluke
-
Some of them were Clifford.
-
and is that a bad thing if it goes wrong
-
don't know about now but 10yrs ago they were the one to have, good news is if it is a Clifford the immobiliser and alarm should be separate and the main module can be programed to your needs or even removed without affecting the immobiliser
-
Had that system removed frpm Tims old jeep as it played up. But cannot remember how but it did not take long.
-
any remote immbolisier should be able to control the central locking if wired in correctly. I had a TOAD make fitted to the diesel i used to have. To be honest i'd prefer not to have them fitted due to the hassle when they go wrong and all you have is a fist full of black wires to work with
