i have 3 problems with my jeep
firstly i am losing coolant about 2 litres a month can not find where it is leaking from,
secondly occassionally have drips of water on the passenger side under the heater but not a large amount not sure if that is related but it is only water not coolant. it seems to happen when the air con has been on
thirdly the drivers seat frame seems to have snapped
can anyone advise me on these problems and can anyone recommend a good mechanic around the west midlands area who is reliable and is not going to rip me off
many thanks

1 Dunno
2 Possibly air con dropping condensation out...if so not a problem
3 Do you know Bubba yet... :icon_super:

Bet the waterpump is leaking, can be a bitch to see the leak
-
If it's a 4 L check the bottom hose where it rubs the pulley guard
It tends to split then only leak under pressure

Thanks for replies. Not heard of bubba do you think he will have a look at my jeep?

hi mate i can at least trace the leak for you if it helps the water under the heater u sure it aint coolant dip your finger in it and see if it tastes sweet
-
hi bubba
do not think it is coolant and it only leaks very occassionally seems to be after air con has been on will try and taste it next time it leaks.
thanks for reply
-
i know it sounds daft but you will be certain it could well be water from the aircon

firstly i am losing coolant about 2 litres a month can not find where it is leaking from,
check whats been said as there should be some staining from the leak present
secondly occassionally have drips of water on the passenger side under the heater but not a large amount not sure if that is related but it is only water not condesate form the air con
thirdly the drivers seat frame seems to have snapped
this could quite possibly be rewelded but remove the seat first
