Title: Starter - How many teeth
Post by: snozzer on November 28, 2010, 09:39:48 AM: Buggered if I can get any sense out of the stealership as to what type of starter is on my 1998 Jeep XJ 2.5TDi is it 9 or 10 teeth. Anyone have any ideas?

I would like to know before I order one

Post by: Nosebolt on November 28, 2010, 03:14:02 PM: its only 2 wires and 2 bolts, pop it out and count the teeth on the end, unless someone can tell you how to identify it from the outer case

exhaust shield
engine mounting
leccy connections
knuckles
swearing
