im going to drive from the isle of wight to birmingham and back via wales on the weekend and im wondering if its worth fitting my old road wheels .
Would you bother changing or just leave the muds on?
-
:greggmo: depends, is lookin good important ?
-
check your speed rating letter on the sidewall and see if it fits in with the speed you are going to want to travel at, lots of muds are only rated for quite low speeds so can break up with a long high speed run.

MPG wise it may be worthwhile :icon_winkle:
-
they are "Q" rate so good for a maximum of 100mph, will be awfully noisy at that speed tho and like they say above street tyres may save a few mpg
-
:iagree:
yeah i think it might make sense to put the road wheels on
-
lets just hope those hitch hikin swedish twin girls dont turn ya down on account of ya tyres then
-
Muds handle deep snow without a problem - what's the weather forecast.
Also you might find the motorways all restricted to 50 if your luck is anything like mine!
Enjoy the trip anyway!

I'd keep them on. Ran around for years in the Mitsu with mud tyres - no problem. And...while the road tyres might roll a bit better and save fuel, I don't expect it'll be much.
