Title: XJ Auxiliary Fuel Tanks
Post by: gadget on December 09, 2010, 09:48:46 PM
Hi All,

I know the XJ 2.5 Diesel fuel tank is huge, yet I want to add a bit more extra.

Anyone done this?

Except the law limits how much you can carry and store.  I think it's something like 5L for petrol.

Edit to add, there is a 20L limit for storage of petrol.  Plastic containers cannot be bigger than 5L and metal containers must not exceed 10L.

Its a diesel - so caryy veg oil and there is no limit at all (food stuff) - and it don't smell like hydrocarbons - and comes ready packed

2 x 10ltr METAL cans is the max amount for carrying petrol INSIDE the car, no exact limit outside except for you are only advised to carry the minimum for the days work.

diesel follows the same guidelines
