Title: HELP! WJ 2002 Grand Cherokee overland V8 4.7 Automatic Transmission
Post by: V8 Mouseman on December 15, 2010, 10:52:58 AM
When the box changes from 2nd to 3rd under load (uphill or accelerating hard) it seems to 'stick'; at about 3K revs and 'flatlines' ie wont keep accelerating (like i hit a rev limiter) but then after a second or two it carries on up the rev range to a third gear change.

Anyone  :jpshakehead:any ideas??

Mouseman. What they're alluding to is this...... http://www.wjjeeps.com/faultcodes.htm (http://www.wjjeeps.com/faultcodes.htm) Scroll down
to the bit that says "Retrieving codes."  Do what it says. Write down the codes it reports if there are
any. They are in the format Pxxxx, where xxxx is a number, e.g. P0120.
Scroll down that page to see what it means, and report back here for advice.
