Hi All,
I have seen the external roll cages on XJ's and love the idea.
Big question though.
Being a Yank and used to the idea that most anything goes on vehicle mods in the states. (within reason)
What is the legal position on bull bars, roll cages...etc... here in the UK?
I will still be using my XJ on the road so don't want to cross the legal line.
Thanks
Rob

On an XJ, do whatever you want as long as there aren't any sharp edges.

I recall something about the first registration date was a problem - one for our very own VOSA book worm.

i haven't posted anything so he can't argue.
you can fit a cage to anything as long as it's fitted safely. your insurance company will need to be informed and they might hike the premium as they will think you will drive like an idiot.
not sure what you mean about the registration there Peter. Roll cages have been fitted to classic cars right through to modern.
look on demon tweeks for specifications of tube to use or Greggmo might be able to advise on what not to use.
