Have I made a cock-up? I bought a diesel XJ for the LSD rear diff for my YJ, ideal I thought as my rear brakes are worn out, I'll swap the complete axle over, just been looking and XJs are spring over axle and YJs under. Do I fit the axle and XJ springs or would it be better to just swap the diff? The front is 4.5" lifted so spring over would match, just don't want to suffer with any more axle wrap or tramping than I've already got.
Ideas please.....

What diff ratios is youy YJ running? the XJ axle will be 3.73.

Standard YJ?
3.07 is what google says, so will 3.73 be any good, I'm running 31's

needs to be same ratio front and back or else your ******

Some of the yank mud pluggers have different ration axles to spin the front!!!

this is true but not ideal for the road

I can change both diffs as I have a leaky front inner seal now too! I thought rovers were bad for oil leaks! :banghead:

your YJ is 3.55
