Title: Location of pressure sensor and common rail....Jeep Cherokee 2.8crd 2004

Hi there,

I have just purchased one of those engine tuning modules/chips but i am having problems locating the common rail and pressure sensor in my jeep Cherokee 2.8 CRD 2004 reg

The chip plugs in between the pressure sensor which supposedly is on or near the common rail... but with me not being of a technical / mechanical background cannot even find the common rail..... :banghead:

Can anyone point me in the right direction or location as with the continued price hike of fuel I'm desperate to get this mod fitted...

The fuel pressure sensor is indeed on the fuel rail. It's the fat metal pipe that all the injectors are connected to. If you've bought a so-called tuning chip off Ebay with just 2 wires on it, throw it in the bin, you've been sold a 1 penny resistor in a box.

Haha...no it's not a resistor off eBay! it's from a local motorsport company.

To be honest I removed the engine tray hoping to find the commonrail but it wasn't obvious which one it was...?
