helpplease. My 1999 JGC is gas converted. the gas tank is in the area where the spare wheel is normally kept. Over the last few weeks, a lot of water (3 - 4 inches deep) has been gathering in the spare wheel area. Is there a drain hole in the wheel carrier area? Can I check it from the underneath, or do I need to remove the gas tank? Any comments would be most appreciated. Thanks.

there isn't one in mine, you can soon drill a small hole though :icon_winkle: Sounds like you have a leaky hatch/rear window seal

I had the same issue with water filling up the spare wheel well.
I traced it to the boot seal. I took off the seal and piped in a generous amount of black silicone sealant into it, before reattaching the seal, closing the boot\hatch lid and leaving it for a few days to set. Dry as a bone now...

God - I love the search button.....that's my only issue with my Jeep - and when it comes back from having the ball joints etc fixed, I'll fix this little problem...

Rent a dwarf to sit in the back with kitchin towel whilst you hose the jeep down....
