Title: fuel filter 2.5 td
Post by: richardb on January 24, 2011, 07:54:35 PM
Hi

Failed MOT on emissions, garage suggested new fuel filter and air filter so going to do that tomorrow and then some diesel cleaner and a good run to clear it out.
Have a quick question though is it easy enough to replace the fuel filter, and can you drain the filter housing. I will then have to prime it I assume which should be on top of the filter housing. also is there anything I need to be aware of when doing this.

Cheers

Richard

By the way I do know what I'm saying with this.

Had it where it passed on emmisions but failed on couple of other bits - it was on veg.

Went to pick up a breaker and had to fill up with diesel, took it back and he shoved it on emmisions test and it was failing - he tried a few times and then fudges the values :icon_rolleyes: - like he said he knew it was fine a couple of days earlier on veg
