During the snow our rad sprung a leak so we gave it to a garage to replace as we couldn't stand the thought of working on the Jeep in the cold with no garage.
Anyway the Jeep has a shiny new Rad and now it seems to slip between gears when I took it back to the garage they said it was nothing to do with them.
But we had never had a problem with the gear box before this.
We are wondering if it is the cooling system on the Rad ... but would that make it slip.
The Jeep struggles to get up a hill
( I think it goes back into fist gear and stays there, but Steve says it slipping out and in)
Has anyone got any idea what this could be

Check they haven't over filled the transmission fluid. If they have, it can cause foaming and bubbles in the fluid, which will cause havoc. Also make sure they used ATF+4 to top it up. If they used a large quantity of Dexron it can affect shift quality. They would have to flush the transmission and put the right stuff in.
