Title: Engine hoist views please
Post by: Bulldog67 on February 25, 2011, 08:50:16 AM
As i seem to inadvertently fallen into being an AMC engine procurer, I think its time I stopped begging & borrowing engine hoists and got my hand in my pocket. It obviously is only going to see infrequent use, im not a garage, so it doesnt have to be heavy duty and built for industrial use, but a 360/401 weighs in at about 275kg, so it cant be lightweight either, also needs decent height to get it up into a lifted CJ or Bastard, and be collapsible, so far I have come up with this:

kms hoist (http://www.kmsdirect.co.uk/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9&products_id=8)

any views? TBH its cheaper new than most seem to be 2ndhand, but then i cant see where it differs on specs.

I know u get what u pay for, but im tryin to temper that with the profit margins  :003:

Cheers

Ps. if anyone is sellin ...........

Pps. Or Tank is shoppin .......... :003:

Go for it, if you don't have to pay for delivery, it's a deal.

 :hysterical:

Only about 1 V8 per week.

Let me know how you get on with it dood.

I'm gonna have to replace my Machine Mart one with one with a longer reach/higher lift/more weight capacity.
