Trying to sort out my next problem!
When I bought this Jeep I was given a pair of new rear leaf springs.Having done a rough measurement I think they may be the wrong type. They measure 2 1/2" wide, which is the same width as those fitted. However the inner steel eye bushes protrube from the rubber bushes giving a total overall width of 2 3/4".Having measured the inside width of the shackles they appear to be 2 5/8".The eye to eye measurement of the new springs is approximately 48 3/4".
The only markings on the new springs (stencilled in white paint) are:-
105x 89/29  56022134 MARA -OSI  (4 Leaf) Does that mean anything to any members?
If the lengths are correct could I grind the bolt tubes to fit the shackles? It wouldn't affect the spring and would save me a lot of beer tokens!
The only other option is if any member can identify these springs and maybe do a swap with the correct ones.
